Taking EDLD-5317-D21: Resources for Digital Environments at Lamar University expanded my understanding of how digital tools can enhance student learning and engagement. I explored foundational theories from Dewey, Bruner, Vygotsky, Papert, and Piaget, which helped me evaluate and design technology with developmental and social learning in mind. The course assignments—including the Publication Outline, Rough Draft, Peer Assessment Rubric, Media Project and Contributions to My Learning—challenged me to apply theory to practice. I also refined my innovation plan for a goal-setting app that supports middle school students in setting, tracking, and reflecting on academic goals. This course strengthened my confidence as a digital leader and inspired me to continue advocating for meaningful technology integration.
